I have been in Royal Rangers since I was four years old.  It has been a major part of my life.  Harry Fetter was my Senior Commander when I first started.  He taught me many things about the Royal Rangers.  Commander Fetter helped me earn my advancements and gain an interest in Rangers.

Royal Rangers has taught me discipline, servanthood, and how to live for Christ.  I have learned to be mentally, physically, and spiritually alert, clean in body mind and speech, honest, courageous, loyal, courteous, obedient to those in authority, and spiritual.  I have also learned how to lash sticks together, set up tents, and cook on a campfire along with many other campcrafts.  Rangers has taught me how to identify different kinds of plants, animals, and many other things in nature.  The advanced merits have helped prepare me for the real world and for the rest of my life by teaching me valuable lessons.  Doing advanced merits like the Bible Award has given me an interest in reading and studying the Bible daily.  The Bachelor Award taught me how to take care of myself and do necessary things at home.  While doing the Citizenship Award I gained a better knowledge of the history of my town and how to be a good citizen.  I learned more about the history of my church while doing the Church Award.  The Royal Ranger ministry has also prepared me to witness to others and for my daily walk with Christ.  Memorizing Bible verses such as John 3:16, Romans 3:23 and 6:23, John 1:12, 1 John 1:9, and Revelation 3:20 has been helpful when witnessing to people.  Royal Rangers has taught me to be ready for anything that comes my way as I live for Christ.

Soon after my thirteenth birthday I became a FCF member.  I have learned a lot from this group.  Some of the things I have learned are how to set up the markee tents and teepees, how to make frontiersmen style clothing, and shoot a black powder rifle.  I have really enjoyed the fellowship that I have with the other men and boys in the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship.  Also I have enjoyed being a part of the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship because of the knowledge I have obtained of my country’s history.

Royal Rangers has been a big help in my life and in the lives of many other boys.  I believe that Royal Rangers can help many more boys all over the world.  I have highly enjoyed being a part of the Royal Rangers and working on the advancements.  I plan to continue working in my outpost even after I become a commander.  Rangers has brought up many boys and has kept them out of trouble by teaching them obedience and discipline and is still doing that.  The most important thing that Royal Rangers is doing is teaching boys about Christ and the teaching them how to live for Him.  I believe that the Royal Ranger ministry is very effective in ministering to boys and reaching, teaching, and keeping them for Christ.
